1. Who handles your information
WANG JIE, an individual based in China operating Mane Sight at https://manesight.com, is responsible for the personal information described here. Send privacy, access or deletion requests to wangjie.joel.0@gmail.com. This notice explains data use; it does not replace any separate consent required for processing.
2. Information used by Mane Sight
- Google sign-in supplies account identifiers, email, display name and profile image. Authentication also uses session information; we do not ask for your Google password.
- When you upload photos, we receive front/hairline and crown images and any supported additional views. Analysis records include hair and face attributes, your corrections, preferences, recommendations and generated previews.
- Purchase records include package details, amounts, currency, payment status, provider references and credit-ledger activity. Card entry takes place with Waffo Pancake, not in Mane Sight's application.
- Requests expose network and browser information such as IP address and user agent to our hosting and authentication services. Operational records include timestamps, job states and errors. Emails you send us become support records.
3. Why we process it
We use account and session information to authenticate you, associate your private results with your account and protect access. Photos and profile data enable the analysis and previews you request. Payment and ledger records deliver purchased credits, resolve refunds and prevent duplicate fulfillment. Support and operational information help investigate failures and respond to your requests.
Where applicable, these purposes rely on providing our contract with you, proportionate security and support interests, legal obligations or consent when required. We do not use your photos for identity matching. Facial and hair observations can nevertheless be sensitive: upload only images you are comfortable sending for the described processing.
4. Hosting, AI and payment services
Cloudflare hosts the application, database and private image storage. Google provides sign-in and Gemini AI; OpenAI may process analysis when its adapter is selected. AI processing sends the necessary photos and task context to the selected provider. The images are not confined to your browser once uploaded or sent for AI processing.
Waffo Pancake handles checkout and payment data. Mane Sight stores transaction references and status, not full card numbers or card security codes. These providers may process information outside your country, including through international infrastructure. Provider terms, retention and data-handling rules also apply; we do not promise zero provider retention or make an unconditional promise about providers' training practices. We do not operate our own model-training pipeline using your uploads.
Provider information: Cloudflare privacy, Google privacy, Gemini API terms, OpenAI privacy. Review Waffo Pancake's notices in its hosted checkout. Required transfer permissions and safeguards depend on your location and the provider arrangement.
5. Cookies, analytics and disclosures
Session cookies support login and protected features. Blocking them may prevent sign-in. We use Google Analytics to understand how Mane Sight is used and improve the service. Google Analytics may receive page URLs, referrers, browser and device information, network identifiers and approximate location derived from IP address, and may use cookies or similar identifiers for measurement. We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand page interactions such as navigation, clicks and scrolling, including through heatmaps and session-replay style analytics. Clarity may receive page interaction, browser, device and network information and may use cookies or similar identifiers for measurement. We do not sell uploaded photos or account information. We may disclose information needed to investigate abuse or meet a binding legal request, and use providers as described above.
6. Six-month retention
- Uploaded photos, generated previews and analysis/profile results: retained for up to 6 months from each item's creation, unless you request earlier deletion or a specific legal obligation requires retention.
- Account information: retained while your account remains open, then for up to 6 months after closure, subject to legal record requirements.
- Support correspondence: up to 6 months after the request is resolved; routine operational logs: up to 6 months from creation, with shorter provider limits where applicable.
- Transaction, refund and necessary audit records may be retained longer where tax, accounting, fraud investigation or dispute obligations require it. They are restricted to those purposes rather than retained as a reason to keep your photos.
Expired data is deleted or irreversibly anonymized through operator-managed retention procedures. There is currently no self-service account-deletion control; email us for deletion or closure. This policy does not mean unused credits expire after six months. Independent provider records follow the provider's applicable requirements.
7. Security and your choices
We use HTTPS and authenticated access to private image routes. Uploaded images are not intentionally published on public pages. No system is risk-free. We will handle security incidents and required notices under applicable law.
You can request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy of your information, and where applicable restrict or object to processing or withdraw consent. Contact us using your account email so we can verify the request without asking for unnecessary identification. We respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any lawful limitation. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority. Declining photo processing prevents the corresponding AI feature but does not prevent browsing public pages.
8. Children and policy changes
Mane Sight is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Do not upload children's photos. If you believe a child has provided information, email us so we can investigate and arrange appropriate deletion. We update this page when practices change and provide additional notice or seek consent where required. See our Terms of Service for purchase and refund rules.
